The Maare-Mosel Cycle Route is one of the most beautiful cycle routes in Germany. Because where once the thick steam horses puffed, the bike path leads over exactly these old railroad tracks. The 58-kilometer route, which can be easily divided into shorter stages, runs from Daun to Bernkastel-Kues and is particularly suitable for pleasure cyclists and families with children. The 77-kilometer Vulkan-Rad-Route-Eifel connects the Ahr and Moselle rivers. It leads over the rolling hills of the Volcanic Eifel and past pretty Eifel villages. On the Cosmos Cycle Route between Daun and Meerfeld, you can directly experience the vastness of the universe over 21 kilometers and move from „today“ back to the Big Bang.

It was a wonderful trip and an outstanding route. The route was a real mix of road and off-road, so an off-road capable bike would be recommended if you wanted to give this a go yourself. The off-road bits are sometimes more challenging, but they truly bring the magic. They allowed us to experience the places differently and feel like we were more a part of nature.
